What you and the DPI team have created is really a NATIONAL MODEL for integrating technology!!!I think you should send your idea to Sec. Duncan and Pres. Obama. They recognize and reward forward-thinking, intelligent people who truly understand the role technology should play in education.:) Thanks again!

I have learned invaluable information and skills, with which I plan to work over the summer. Suzanne Cottrell, Wake County
We are focusing on creating some staff development that administrators or other curricular leaders could use. This project has been a real eye-opener for me. Patsy and I are doing session 3 of "Using Media and Technology in the 6-12 Social Studies Classroom" staff development on June 12 and 18 (all day) here in the central office.
As a result of this DPI cohort, I took a chance (with Patsy's urging) and ordered 6 white slates, 15 GPS devices and a set of 32 classroom student response devices. I ordered them in early February before I left for Israel and they were ultimately approved! They are all sitting nicely in my office ready to be used for the June workshop. I want you to again to know how much I learned and appreciated the project!! It was fantastic. I cannot access the upload page for my final project, therefore, it is attached to this e-mail.
Thanks for all that you do.
Sincerely,
